The GuyKat contingent managed to avoid the worst of Hurricane Sandy and make it to Las Vegas for this year’s DevLearn 2012 conference. To keep up with the lastest eLearning technology changes, to meet the major software vendors, to talk about industry issues and best practice with peers from across the globe DevLearn is the place to be. Every serious eLearning professional who can be is there.
One of the really cool things about DevLearn is the ‘DemoFest’ section.
Practitioners showcase their commercial projects (as much as client IP allows!). It’s always slightly nerve wracking looking at competitors material. We came away confident everything we produce would more than hold it’s own in the competition, and also with some inspiration and ideas we may try ourselves. Full respect to everyone who exhibited. Next year to be truly reciprocal- and to justify our confidence – we plan to exhibit ourselves.
The main thing we wanted to look at in Vegas was the various players in the LMS market. Yet again the team from Docebo really impressed us with where they are taking that product. We had some interesting conversations with them and are hoping to help them push the product in the UK soon. Watch this space.
