DemoFest
For the fourth year in a row GuyKat was represented at DevLearn, North America’s premier eLearning conference hosted by the eLearning Guild. This year the Las Vegas venue was shifted from the Aria resort to the Bellagio. The location may have been slightly different, but it was the usual excellent combination of inspiring keynote speeches, peer-to-peer industry presentations on varied practical eLearning topics and vendor product demonstrations at the expo. Trends this year included a notable increase in the number of sessions dedicated to using video in eLearning. This is something we’ve already noted at GuyKat and are keen to be at the forefront. One of the highlights is always the ‘DemoFest’ where vendors and internal training teams take the risk to show-off their work. It’s always inspiring to walk round the hundreds of people proudly showing off their projects and great fun to guess the technology they’ve used to create it. We also find DemoFest very self-validating. We know from what we saw that any of our projects would hold their own against the best on display in America. Next year we need to get a client to waive their NDA so we can enter and prove this…
