Docebo Harmony Search AI assistant helping learners find training in an LMS

Docebo AI Harmony Search Will Do Everything for You?

"Docebo AI Harmony Search Will Do Everything for You?”

Let’s Talk About That.

PEACE, LOVE, & HARMONY

Docebo Harmony Search explained: What does it really mean for L&D teams?

‘Upheaval’; the word is being thrown around a lot in the world of Learning & Development. An upheaval tends to result in an evolved landscape, but they aren’t always fun to live through. Revolutions drive progress, but they're chaotic; the AI revolution is no different.

In the midst of this, what we need is a moment of calm. An oasis of serenity. A sense of Harmony.

Harmony Search is Docebo’s intelligent assistant capable of drastically reducing the amount of administrative overhead involved in running a training platform. Harmony Search is young, but even in this early stage of its evolution, it offers a look at how AI can (and will) transform the way human beings interact with their training environment.

Here at GuyKat, we’re eager to provide some tips on how to maximize its impact.

How can you get the most out of Harmony Search?

After a decade in L&D, I know directing learners to required material can be an uphill battle. Training platforms often become tick-box exercises, forcing learners to need direct links to exactly what they must complete. Creating a platform for self-sufficient exploration is a devious challenge.

Part of the problem lies in how search systems have worked historically. Many platforms rely on simple keyword searches that depend on exact titles or metadata. If a learner doesn’t know the precise wording of a course, finding the right training can become frustrating.

Harmony changes this approach to a more conversational AI interface. Learners can ask questions naturally. Harmony then analyses the meaning behind the question and searches across the learning content available on the platform.

Video transcriptions and parsed Elearning material powers its responses to direct learners towards the training most relevant to their query. Harmony endeavours to understand why a learner is asking about a topic, and curates its suggestions based on its understanding of all the learning content available to the learner.

Harmony Search allows the learner to type in their question or statement and receive curated replies based on training content:

Alternatively, the ‘Ask Harmony’ feature provides conversational answers, summarising information drawn from the platform’s learning content while linking directly to relevant training materials.

After experiencing this kind of search, traditional keyword-based systems can feel surprisingly limited.

Harmony is powerful, if you design for it

However - In the construction of the Docebo platform, Harmony is here as an assistant, not the architect. While Harmony introduces powerful AI capabilities, it doesn’t remove the need for good platform management; in fact, the opposite is true.

Earlier I mentioned that Harmony curates its responses based on its understanding of content available to the learner; either from content learners are currently enrolled in, or from all training that is available to them within the platform. In both cases, the quality of the responses depends heavily on how well the learning content has been maintained. You’ll need to ensure the content is accessible to learners if they’re going to benefit from Harmony’s great big AI brain.

Outdated courses, duplicate materials, or inconsistent metadata can all create confusion for AI-driven recommendations.

In other words, AI won’t fix bad configuration. But GuyKat can!

Preparing your Docebo to make the most of Harmony

Harmony is a deeply impressive leap into the evolution of L&D platforms. But we can’t just switch it on and let it do all the work; it needs us to build the platform on which it stands.

Harmony can generate answers based on general knowledge when it cannot find relevant information within the platform itself. Administrators can choose whether to allow this behaviour or restrict Harmony to responding only with information drawn directly from platform content.

  • Allowing general knowledge responses can make Harmony feel more flexible and helpful when learners ask broader questions.
  • Restricting responses to platform content ensures that answers always remain grounded in your organisation’s official training materials.

Fortunately, Harmony comes with a ‘Preview’ mode which can be activated just for the Superadmins on the platform; meaning the top-level Administrators can test out the new AI functionalities without learners being impacted. For many organisations, this testing phase becomes an opportunity to review the health of the learning platform as a whole.

A Platform That Works for Everyone

How Nord Anglia Transformed Learning with GuyKat

Nord Anglia Education is a premium international school group with over 80 schools in 33 countries. They believe outstanding teachers make outstanding schools and that means investing heavily in the professional development of their staff.

To deliver a world-class education, Nord Anglia needed a scalable, intuitive learning platform that could grow alongside their global organisation. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous development, they turned to Docebo and to GuyKat to make it happen.

What was the challenge?

As Nord Anglia Education grew, so did its library of onboarding and training content. But with so many users, from teachers to administrators, learners were struggling to find the resources relevant to them. Engagement was inconsistent, and the platform needed a smarter structure to support their goals.

Our Solution: Designed for Scale, Built for People

1. A Smarter Navigation System
We developed a custom drop-down mega menu using HTML and CSS, giving users the ability to filter content by school, topic, or type.

2. Custom Templates for Flexibility
We created branded, easy-to-edit widget templates, complete with detailed documentation and training. This meant any admin could maintain and update the platform independently.

3. A true social learning space
With a clear strategy to support Docebo Communities, we gave learners across continents the opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and support each other. This evolved from a content repository into a true social learning space.

What was the impact?

All these changes helped boost user engagement from just 20% to an incredible 94% post-launch.

The transformation has already delivered measurable impact, from time saved on admin tasks to significantly higher learner engagement. And this is just the beginning. With plans to integrate Docebo with their HR platform, Nord Anglia Education is preparing for a fully personalised learning journey aligned with career progression.

“GuyKat supports us to make our platform fly.”

Vicky Wheeldon, Learning Experience Designer, Nord Anglia Education

Why did it work?

At the heart of this transformation was true collaboration. Nord Anglia’s team brought curiosity, clarity, and commitment to the project, working closely with us to create a platform that truly meets their learners’ needs.

“It’s been a wonderful partnership because we can talk openly about what we need and get to the bottom of it… they suggest what has worked elsewhere and support us.”

Julia Gallois, Learning Experience Designer, Nord Anglia Education

We believe great learning experiences don’t happen by accident, they are designed with purpose. That’s why we’re proud of what we’ve achieved with Nord Anglia, and why we’re excited to keep helping organisations around the world make learning more accessible, effective, and engaging.

What’s It Like to Be a Graduate at GuyKat?

GuyKat Graduate Scheme Experience: Insights from Katka

👩‍🎓 Katka Cervinkova 👩‍🎓

Can you tell us about your role at GuyKat and how long you’ve been part of the team?

I have been part of the GuyKat Graduate Scheme for about seven months. Part of my time has been spent in the Platform Enablement Team and UX/UI Team, where I had the opportunity to learn about the Docebo platform and just how far the out-of-the-box look and feel of Docebo can be changed.

What was your experience like on the GuyKat Graduate Scheme?

Amazing. People at GuyKat are incredibly nice and helpful, prompting me to ask questions, be curious, and aim to learn as much as possible. I had the opportunity and space to try out the things I learned, talk about them, and build on that knowledge.

Why did you apply to the Graduate Scheme at GuyKat?

When I first read about the Graduate Scheme at GuyKat, I was pleasantly surprised. Although I have encountered several Graduate Opportunities before, none of them were quite like this. I liked the opportunity to learn about all the different parts of the business and to find the ones that would be most interesting to me while having the possibility of fully committing to a role once I finish the scheme. Before I joined GuyKat, I had just finished my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and I was looking for an opportunity just like this. I found applying straightforward because it is not about how much you currently know but about how much you want to grow.

What do you enjoy most about your current role at GuyKat?

I am studying Graphic Design and want to work with it to some extent. Being a part of the UX/UI Team allows me to put what I learned into action and grow. However, I also like the responsibility that falls on me to do the best job I can. Being part of GuyKat helped me break out of my shell more and gave me opportunities to expand my comfort zone. When it comes to learning the technical skills that come with the different roles, my knowledge went from 0 to 90 (I won’t say 100, I don’t know everything there is), and that learning curve is still very steep.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career at GuyKat?

Be 100% in it, be open to learning, and write your cover letter with your real thoughts!
