We’ve been keeping some news since January 2025, and it involves a lot of hard work and a massive win for data security. GuyKat is proud to be ISO 27001 certified!

This is a huge milestone for us, but more importantly, it’s a reflection of our ongoing commitment to information security, data protection, and the trust you place in us. This isn’t just a badge. It’s proof that we take security seriously and have embedded robust safeguards into how we operate every single day.

What exactly is ISO 27001?

ISO 27001 is the internationally recognized benchmark for information security management systems (ISMS). It provides a strict framework for organizations to identify, manage, and mitigate data risks.

Achieving this means our systems, processes, and controls have been tested against the highest global standards, and they passed with flying colors.

The Bottom Line: What This Means For You

We understand the importance of keeping your data secure, which is why we invest in industry-leading security practices. This certification ensures:

Your information is handled using best-in-class security protocols.

We proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Our processes are designed to ensure secure, reliable service and minimise the risk of disruption.

Looking Ahead (Because Security Never Sleeps)

Having first achieved ISO 27001 certification in 2025, we are continuing to maintain and strengthen our information security practices.

Now we’ve formed this foundation, moving forward, we will continue to:

Regularly stress-test and improve our security practices.

Stay steps ahead of emerging digital risks and threats.

Give you absolute confidence that your data is safe.

Security, trust, and reliability are at the heart of any strong partnership. So, this milestone strengthens our ability to support your organization with total confidence, today and as your needs evolve.

Three Organisations. Three Very Different Challenges.

At Docebo Inspire, we’re bringing together three incredible organisations who are doing something many teams are still trying to figure out, turning learning platforms, like Docebo, into experiences people genuinely want to use.

On the panel, you’ll hear from:

Becky Gardner – Digital Learning Technology Leader at Coca Cola Europacific Partners

Sue Smith – Training & Development Specialist at IDEXX

Tania Flagg – Director, Digital Experience & Enablement at L’Oréal

Guy McEvoy – CEO and Founder of GuyKat (Host)

They all have different learners. Different challenges. Different goals. But all facing the same core question, How do you make learning work in the real world?

What is the session about?

This session will be an honest, behind-the-scenes look at how partnering with GuyKat helps organisations move beyond implementation and maximise the long-term value of their Docebo investment.

Expect to hear how:

Smarter design can completely change how users interact with learning

Small shifts in how content is surfaced can drive big changes in behaviour

The right incentives can turn mandatory learning into something people actively seek out

How can you scale learning without breaking everything?

Rolling out learning at scale isn’t just a technical challenge. It’s organisational, cultural, and operational. This session dives into:

Why phased approaches often outperform “big bang” launches

How to balance global consistency with local needs

What it really takes to support thousands of users across regions, roles, and languages

Where are they taking their Docebo next?

This isn’t just about what’s already been achieved. It’s about what’s coming next.

We’ll cover how to make content more personalised, how to use AI to support performance in the moment and scalable models that can be repeated across brands, teams, and regions.

Why should you attend?

If you’re:

Scaling Docebo (or about to)

Struggling with adoption or engagement

Or just want to see what good looks like in practice

This session will give you real stories, honest lessons, and practical inspiration you can take away immediately. No theory. No fluff. Just what works, and what doesn’t.

And how you can get started today with us!

Heading to Docebo Inspire 2026?

3 Things to Know Before You Go

Docebo Inspire 2026 is officially heading to Miami in April and GuyKat is once again proud Platinum sponsors of the event.

Docebo Inspire is the ultimate mix of product reveals, L&D networking, cooking puns, and figuring out what’s actually next for learning with Docebo. All with a little Miami sunshine thrown in.

To make sure you leave with more than just a tan, here’s how to navigate the show like a pro:

1. Attend Real-World Sessions

The best part of Inspire isn’t just seeing what the platform can do, it’s hearing what people are actually doing with it.

Skip the theory and look for the success stories.

At GuyKat, we’re putting that into practice with our own panel: honest insights from three global powerhouses who’ve been in the trenches.

Getting the Most Out of Docebo: Lessons from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, L’Oréal, and IDEXX.

Expect a candid look at:

How these organisations drive real value from their platform

What they’d do differently if they were starting today

How a partner like GuyKat helps keep the momentum going long after go-live

Just practical lessons from teams who’ve done it at scale.

2. The Best Insights Happen at the Coffee Stations

The agenda is packed, but the real “aha!” moments usually happen over good food and drinks.

Whether it’s debating AI strategy, swapping platform tips, or figuring out how to actually map skills, the person standing next to you in the lunch queue might be your most valuable session of the day.

Docebo Inspire is famous for its great food and generous snack breaks, so come prepared with one specific challenge you’re facing then use the crowd as your personal think tank.

You’ll be surprised how many people are solving the exact same problem.

3. Lean on the Experts (That’s Us)

You don’t have to figure out the Docebo ecosystem alone.

As Docebo’s longest-serving partner, we’ve seen it all, from early implementations to complex global scale-ups.

As Platinum Sponsors, we’ve created a dedicated space on our stand where you can:

Fine-tune your current setup

Plan your next big launch

Problem-solve challenges with people who’ve seen it before

Build learning experiences people remember

Whether you’re looking for quick advice or a deeper conversation about where your learning platform could go next, we’re here to help.

See you in Miami!

Whether you’re there for the tech, the community, or the cubanos, make sure to stop by and say hi.

“AI translations are good enough, just press translate”

It sounds efficient. But is it enough?

AI has transformed how we handle multilingual content. The speed is impressive and the accessibility is powerful. What once took weeks can now take minutes. But treating translation as a “click and forget” task is risky.

Accurate translation isn’t just about correct grammar or spelling. It’s about meaning, tone and cultural connection.

AI translation doesn’t solve localisation

It is a common mistake to use ‘translation’ and ‘localisation’ interchangeably, but they serve very different purposes:

Translation is the direct, word-for-word replication of a piece of text.

Localisation is making that translation fit contextually while maintaining the integrity of mnemonics, acronyms, and cultural relevance.

Localisation requires more than translation. What feels appropriate in one country may feel tone-deaf in another. What is legally compliant in one region may be entirely different or even non-compliant elsewhere. Tone varies wildly across borders. Some cultures prefer a more laid-back, informal approach to learning, while in others, formality is everything.

AI might translate the words, but only a native speaker can ensure the message is conveyed with the appropriate respect and impact.

AI often misses the mark in a professional context

AI struggles to convey brand voice and often fails to grasp the nuance required for sensitive workplace topics.

Translation engines can occasionally lose the thread of technical context with devastating results.

In one instance, a translation engine replaced the term for a Brachial vein with the Basilic vein. In a medical training context, an uncorrected error like that could lead to life-threatening mistakes in physician training.

A phrase that works perfectly in English can fall flat (or worse, offend!) in another language. Idioms don’t always travel. Humour rarely translates cleanly. Brand voice can easily become diluted.

At GuyKat, a human review sits at the heart of the process

At GuyKat we are always looking to improve and make use of new technologies.

As such have moved from the old, manual and slow way of working to the much quicker AI supported method:

We spend time ensuring that spelling, grammar and tone are correct in the original content to set translation up for success. Post-editing (PEMT) is still essential for every piece of content, so we ensure a human editor reviews each localisation to give you the best of both worlds, retaining the tone of voice and consistent terminology throughout. Because translation quality doesn’t start at the end, it starts at the source.

We build robust translation memory and termbases. AI can then tap into previously approved content, ensuring terminology remains consistent across modules, updates and markets.

We always quality assure the localised content. Because learners in Germany, France or the US shouldn’t have a different experience simply because of language. The standard should be identical.

AI might help us move faster but human expertise ensures we never compromise on quality.

Want to talk to a real human about it?

Reaching 10 years at any company is special…

Reaching 10 years at a company that’s grown from seven people into an award-winning agency delivering hundreds of thousands of professional training programmes? That’s something truly worth celebrating.

Dan joined GuyKat as an apprentice, a decade later, he’s shaped our visual brand and been part of the company’s journey every step of the way.

We asked him to reflect on what’s kept him here, what’s changed, and what he’s learned over the last 10 years.

10 Questions for 10 years with GuyKat:

What’s kept you at the company for 10 years?

The thing that’s kept me here for a whole decade is the same thing most people would probably say is their favourite part of working at GuyKat… the people. There’s such a lovely culture of respect, support and fun. I’ve been made to feel at home from day one, and that hasn’t changed in 10 years. It’s rare to find a place where you genuinely enjoy the people you work with, and that’s what’s made the time fly by.

Can you share a funny or memorable moment from your time here?

On the way home from visiting a partner company, Emma, Jayne and I managed to miss our connecting flight. The next flight wasn’t for 10 hours,so after about 30 minutes of aimlessly wandering around the airport, we claimed a booth and set up camp… and didn’t leave it until boarding. At the time, it felt pretty grim, but looking back, it was hilarious and actually a great bonding experience.

What’s one thing that’s changed the most in the company since you started?

When I started, there were just seven of us and, honestly, we just got on with things. That works when you’re tiny, but once you start to scale up, it definitely doesn’t. Now we’re a well-established company working with some of the largest brands on the planet and a clear purpose. Seeing that growth has been incredible.

Do you have a go-to strategy for surviving busy periods or stressful projects?

I’m fortunate in that I don’t naturally get too stressed by work. I’m quite pragmatic about what can realistically be achieved in a given timeframe. I prioritise, set expectations clearly, and if something doesn’t fit, I’ll push back, delegate, or ask for help. I’m very aware of my own capacity, and I’d always rather underpromise and overdeliver.

How do you celebrate milestones or achievements at work?

I tend to keep things fairly low-key. In fact, I haven’t actually done anything to celebrate 10 years yet! For general achievements though, a trip to The Gosta (the pub next door to the office) is usually involved.

Has there been a project or role that surprised you in a good way?

My role within the marketing team has definitely surprised me in the best way. I became the owner of GuyKat’s visual brand, which means I now have a say in anything related to how we look and present ourselves. I’ve loved taking ownership of that and shaping how we appear externally. I’ve learned so much along the way, and it’s been incredibly rewarding.

What’s one quirky tradition at the company you’ve come to love?

Halloween! Dressing up for Halloween isn’t that unusual but if it falls on a weekend, we don’t skip it, we just move it. That means turning up to the office on a completely normal weekday in full costume. Commuting in full Joker makeup or sitting in traffic wearing a witch’s hat definitely earns a few confused looks, but once we’re all together in the office, it’s just great fun.

Who or what has inspired you the most during your time here?

On the actual day of my 10-year anniversary, I sent a message highlighting the only people who’ve been here longer than me (the real old-timers). David Brannon, whose enthusiasm for his work is genuinely inspiring. Hannah Quinton, who supported me so much at the beginning and, if anything, even more now. And Guy, who took a chance on me as an apprentice with zero experience. I hope he agrees it was a worthwhile risk.

How do you keep things interesting and avoid getting stuck in a routine?

I’ve made sure to get involved in lots of different areas of the business. Anything related to design, I somehow manage to have an opinion on, whether that’s branding, marketing, office design, the website, Docebo pages or merch. I love keeping my role fresh by branching into anything that allows me to be creative.

If you could give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?

I’ve always had a bit of imposter syndrome. But after 10 years, I have real experience under my belt. So I’d tell myself to speak with confidence and trust that experience because I’ve earned it.

Summary

Dan’s story is more than a 10-year milestone. It’s a reflection of what happens when you combine opportunity, ownership, creativity and the right people around you.

The cleanup after the New Year’s party; how proper governance can de-clutter and optimize your Docebo for the new year

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU, NEW PLATFORM

The clock strikes midnight, and in a blur of fireworks 2025 is over and we find ourselves crash-landing in the cold and dark month of January.

On January 1st, many of us would be waking up to the settled chaos of a post-NYE party; scattered confetti, liberal distributions of paper plates, spilled beverages on the sofa.

Standing with our sore heads and surveying the damage, many of us would be thinking the same early thoughts of the new year:

“It’s not my job to clean this up, is it?”

But while January can be a dampening month in terms of both weather and our spirits, it’s also a valuable time to address what’s been quietly getting messy all year.

Docebo is the best learning platform on the market, but with enough time any platform can start to resemble that post-party house. If you have old data from forgotten learning initiatives piled high like dishes in the sink, training courses strewn around like pizza boxes and a lack of resources to maintain and clean up junk data (“Really, it’s not my job to clean this up, is it?”)

But have no fear; while gym memberships fade away, help is at hand to revitalize your platform. If you haven’t already, it’s time to start thinking – or re-thinking – about governance.

Why Docebo Governance Matters

Governance is an often-underdeveloped area of platform development. The responsibility for oversight and maintenance is not always desirable. NYE parties are fun – soaking up spillages with a dishcloth, less so. But it’s through governance that we keep an platform consistent, clean, and easy for users and Administrators to navigate.

To boil governance down to its simplest definition, it’s:

Who is allowed to do what

Who is the decision maker

What rules everyone follows

How things are reviewed and kept under control

Are your training materials consistently named and categorized? Are your users organized and receiving the optimal training experience, depending on their learning goals and expectations? Do you have the right people in place to maintain your platform?

The Benefits of Strong Governance in Docebo

If these questions are a little uncomfortable, that’s the first sign that governance may need some attention. It’s never too late to clean things up. You’ll be surprised by how many benefits there are to a decluttered platform. To name a few:

Reduction of Administrative Load: When users only see relevant content, queries drop – freeing up your Admin’s time to focus on forward-thinking initiatives

Easier and Faster Reporting: Organized training materials are easily reported on, letting you produce stats lightning-quick (you never know when you’ll need to pull some analysis urgently!)

Clear Accountability for Actions: Platforms get paralysed when there’s no clear indication of who should be doing what. When people’s roles are clearly defined, you get focused Administrators who are ready to make the most of the platform’s tools to drive engagement. Chaos is easier to tackle when divided (you tidy the pizza boxes, you try tackling the stains on the sofa).

How to Optimise Your Docebo Platform

But like many New Year’s Resolutions; these things are easier said than done. What can we actually do to fix up our platform? Let’s start with a few ideas below.

Clear out old materials

Sometimes you have to ask yourself: “Does this spark joy?”

You don’t have to be Marie Kondo to identify training elements that have aged out of use. Reporting can help find those eLearnings and resources that are gathering dust in some corner of the platform. If it’s not in use, archive it so your Administrators don’t have to scroll past it all the time, and absolutely remove it from user’s profiles so they aren’t wasting their time reviewing it.

How GuyKat can help

Identifying and removing materials can be a laborious task. Our data analysts can help you identify any areas of low engagement where your training courses need to be sunset, and our software team can process large-scale cleanup tasks via time-saving methods that make cleanup a breeze.

Now the junk is gone, do you need to reformat your courses’ metadata to follow a specific standard across the platform? Just let us know your desired format and we can make amendments to mountains of courses via our team’s software tools far more quickly.

Spruce up the Interface

Is your platform’s look and feel appearing a little dated? The platforms that boast the best engagement have clean and simple interfaces which achieve learning goals with minimal clicks. If you can reduce the amount of navigation a user has to do to get where they need to be, do it! A user can’t complete their training if they can’t find it!

How GuyKat can help

We have entire platoons of design experts who are eager to optimize your platform interface. From simplifying your platform’s design with ‘out of the box’ tools and widgets, to completely revamping the platform’s experience with coding wizardry that can completely transform your user’s experience according to your wishes.

Empower your admins!

All too often, responsibilities for a platform fall into the hands of a small number of personnel, resulting in bottlenecks and siloed expertise. To defeat this, consider who needs to be responsible for which actions. Do you have people who can be empowered to monitor training completions? Who can be responsible for data analysis? Who can help the users access their training?

It can be scary putting these powers in the hands of Admins but Docebo’s ‘Power User’ functionality can customize the data they have access to down to granular details. If you’d rather an Admin have access to just one population’s data or only to specific functionalities, the Power User functionality has you covered.

How GuyKat can help

Power User functionality can be complex, and it leans quite heavily on a good foundation of governance throughout the rest of the platform. When users and training courses are easy to group, they’re easy to assign to Power Users. We can help organise your platform so data is easy to assign, access, and govern. From there, we ensure each Administrator has the tools, access, and training they need to be fully self-sufficient.

How do I get started?

There’s more to governance – we haven’t even discussed automatic training assignments, automated training communications, and our migration tools which can even format and tidy data from other platforms upon arrival to Docebo – but the key takeaway to kick off 2026 is this:

With a little preparation, and the right help from our experts, even the most chaotic platform can become an optimized, engaging, and fun place for learners to visit. Not just for January – for good.

If your platform is like a house after an NYE party, think of us as being a team of maids and cleaners. Here to take the pain out of the tidying-up. Just point us at a mess and let us do the rest. Grab yourself a cup of tea and kick back on that sofa… just let us pop some baking soda on that stain first.

Don’t do the tidying up alone…

If you’re ready to optimise your Docebo platform with clear, scalable governance, don’t do the tidying up alone.

Contact us to book a friendly chat!

Making a career change can feel daunting. Especially when it means stepping into a completely new industry. For Lucy Bryan, that leap took her from hospital pharmacy into the world of learning technology, via the GuyKat Graduate Scheme.

After completing the scheme, Lucy is now enjoying her role as a Platform Specialist in a role she hadn’t imagined herself in just a year ago.

We caught up with her to hear what it’s really like to apply for and be part of the GuyKat Graduate Scheme…

Lucy’s Journey

Lucy joined GuyKat in September 2024, alongside two other graduates. Her background isn’t in tech or L&D. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Master’s in Pharmacy and worked in hospital pharmacy before deciding she wanted a change. So, when she came across the GuyKat Graduate Scheme, something clicked.

“I was looking for a career change. As soon as I saw the GuyKat Graduate Scheme job advert I knew it was something I really wanted to go for. The opportunity Guykat provides for their graduates to learn, contribute and really find the job that best suits their talents and what they enjoy doing is really something you don’t often find. From my first day at Guykat I’ve been learning new things! I learnt so much in a short space of time in such as supportive and welcoming environment.”

What was the application process like?

Lucy describes the application and interview process as refreshingly human.

“Rather than online tests and phone interviews, each part of the interview process included video conferencing or face-to-face contact. I think that really helps people showcase their personality and true passion or drive.”

So, if you’re considering applying for the GuyKat Graduate Scheme, especially if you’re coming from a different background, Lucy’s advice is simple and reassuring:

“Whether you have experience in the industry or you’re completely new and looking for a career change, believing you can do it makes all the difference. Have the confidence to express yourself and show your personality at every step. I’ve definitely become more confident since joining GuyKat. That’s down to the encouragement of the team, but also to pushing myself and believing I could do something new.”

Thinking about applying for the GuyKat Graduate Scheme?

Our Graduate Scheme isn’t about having your whole career figured out (who does?). Lucy’s journey shows that you don’t need a traditional background, just curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to learn.

Applications are open today! [valid until March 2026]

Want to see what our team is like?

What Is the Skills Gap?

The skills gap is the disconnect between the skills your business needs and the skills your employees currently have.

To identify and close those gaps, you first need to define career goals that align employee development and performance management with your business. From there, you can deliver personalised learning journeys that help learners perform better.

With the right setup, your Docebo becomes a live dashboard of organisational capability. Not just a course catalogue.

It gives you real-time insight into where your teams excel and where they need support. See what we mean?

The Growing Skills Gap Challenge

The global skills gap is widening.

According to LinkedIn’s 2025 Workplace Learning Report, 33% of organisations have no career development programmes. Plus, more than 60% of leaders say skills development is their biggest challenge for the year ahead.

Your people are now expected to do more, learn more, and grow faster than ever. When they don’t feel they’re getting this, they leave and take their experience, knowledge, and potential with them.

That’s the harsh truth behind today’s skills gap crisis.

Employees aren’t just looking for jobs anymore. They’re looking for growth. When that growth isn’t happening internally they’ll find it somewhere else. This results in higher turnover, lower employee engagement and can actually impact innovation long-term.

We use Docebo to close that gap. With a clear strategy in place Docebo doesn’t just deliver training, it empowers you to identify, measure, and close skills gaps.

3 ways designed to bridge the skills gap using Docebo and GuyKat

Skills Management

If your courses and assets aren’t linked to defined skills in Docebo, you’ll lose the visibility needed to close gaps effectively.

First, make sure that the Skills Management feature is activated. Then, you can use the Docebo Skills library (10,000+ skills) or curate your own to identify what competencies are required for each role and where the gaps exist. These simple steps transforms your library from a list of courses into a strategic skills ecosystem!

Tracking learning is easy, but tracking impact takes intention. To truly understand how your learning strategy closes the skills gap, you need to measure not just course completions, but skills growth. Therefore, we recommend aligning your Docebo reports with HR or performance data to uncover meaningful connections such as improved productivity, reduced turnover, or faster time-to-competence. You can then see which skills have improved, how performance has changed, and what impact learning has had.

Role-Based Learning Plans

Learning plans are curated sequences of courses designed to guide employees through a structured development journey. Once you’ve identified where the skills gaps exist in your organisation, you can use Docebo to build bespoke learning plans. Each plan should blend a mix of learning formats (from interactive SCORM modules and virtual classroom sessions). This multi-format approach supports different learning styles and keeps your learners engaged.

When building these plans, off-the-shelf content can only take you so far. Real value comes from custom-built learning that reflects your people, processes, and priorities. That’s where GuyKat’s expert team comes in! By creating short, scenario-based modules you can deliver learning experiences that are more relevant, memorable, and actionable than any generic training. These modules make it easier for learners to connect new knowledge directly to their day-to-day work. Plus, they’re proven to drive higher retention and engagement rates. Once developed, link these custom modules to the relevant skills in Docebo.

You want to go one step further! You can visually transform these journeys so learners can clearly see how each course contributes to their professional growth with our learning roadmaps. We transform learning plans from static content libraries into visual maps that improve engagement and keep learners motivated as they advance through their learning journey.

Want to see what this looks like in practice?

Here's a Smarter Way to Guide Learners" width="840" height="473" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/j8jiqSY3Abk?feature=oembed&width=840&height=1000&discover=1" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen>

My Team Dashboard

Managers are the bridge between learning and performance. Their participation is what turns learning data into meaningful career growth.

That’s why our third suggestion is using the Docebo’s My Team Dashboard. This is such a powerful tool to give managers a clear, real-time view of their team’s skills progress, assigned learning paths, completion status, and overdue courses, all in one place. It also includes target competence levels, helping leaders quickly identify where support or coaching is needed most. Managers can move beyond compliance tracking as it allows them to have more meaningful one-to-one conversations about growth, potential, and the next step in an employee’s journey.
