This year marks a milestone, GuyKat is officially 15 years old!

As we celebrate our 15th anniversary, it happens to coincide with a special birthday for our CEO and founder, Guy McEvoy. Guy’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in shaping GuyKat into the business it is today. From day one, his vision was to create a people-centric business and whilst he understood that technology drives the solutions, it’s the people behind the scenes who truly make the difference.

At GuyKat, we’ve built a team of talented, like-minded professionals who bring their expertise, collaboration, and a sense of fun to the workplace every day. Plus, over the past 15 years, we’ve also had the privilege of working with some amazing clients and partners. There are not many companies that you can party and work with, but that is just our way!

As we look to the future, we’re more excited than ever about what lies ahead. Here’s to the next 15 years! And of course, here’s to the people who make it all possible – our team, clients, and partners who’ve supported us along the way.

GuyKat founder Guy McEvoy has been named as one of the 25 most influential tech people in the Midlands. The list was compiled for publication in the newly released December issue of Insider Magazine.  Guy said; “To see me listed with the leaders of companies such as Bet365 and Codemasters or an original investor in Candy Crush is a mark of how far we’ve come. The recognition is nice. But only if we continue to do what we’re doing – disrupting the learning technology market, maybe in a couple of years I’ll feel like I’ve really earned my place.”

GuyKat founder and MD Guy McEvoy was at an event at 10 Downing Street hosted by the Prime Minister yesterday. Topics discussed included the outlook for small business in 2012 and how technology advances can enable economic growth. Guy believes that there are huge opportunities for more effective eLearning across  every department of central Government.

Whilst most folk casually walked into the building with a cool air of ‘I come here all the time’, Guy behaved like an out-of-town-provincial-yokel-tourist let loose in the big smoke. He literally held up the passage of government by shamelessly blocking the door to get ‘the photo’.   Guy’s moto is “If you don’t get the photo, it didn’t happen’.

The Prime Minister was eventually able to leave the building through his own front door and was only slightly late for his meeting with the President of Pakistan.
